Cookie policy

1. In short

• Without your consent this site uses no cookies: no technical, advertising or profiling cookies.
• It only stores in your browser the choice you make on the banner, so that it is not shown again on every visit.
• Only if you click “Accept” does it turn on visit statistics: Vercel Web Analytics, with no cookies, and Google Analytics, which uses “_ga” cookies.

2. Your choice on the banner (always on)

When you click “Accept” or “Reject”, the site saves your choice in the browser’s local storage (localStorage), under the key "t4um.consent". It stays there until you change it or clear the site’s data from your browser, and it is not sent to us or anyone else.

It is strictly necessary to remember your decision, so it does not require consent.

3. Visit statistics (only with your consent)

If you click “Accept”, the site turns on Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits so we can see which sections are read the most. For every page view it records date and time, the page address, the referring site, the approximate location (country, region and city), the device type, the operating system and the browser.

It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To tell visits apart it uses an identifier calculated from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours: it cannot recognise you from one day to the next and we only see aggregate numbers.

Also after “Accept”, the site turns on Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.), which measures visits, page views, referrer, approximate location and device type. It sets the “_ga” and “_ga_TPLZEZKBDC” cookies, which contain a random browser identifier and last up to 2 years. Advertising and ad personalisation features are turned off and the full IP address is not stored. If you withdraw consent, the script is stopped and the “_ga” cookies are deleted.

If you click “Reject”, or make no choice, neither script is loaded and no cookie is set. The data is processed by Vercel Inc. and by Google, with transfer to the United States: the details are in the privacy policy.

4. Forum, Facebook, Telegram and community apps

This site does not embed content from other services (videos, maps, social posts). The forum, the Facebook group, the Telegram channel and the apps in the T4pp section are separate sites: they use their own cookies only when you visit them, under their own cookie policies.

5. How to change your mind

You can change your choice at any time with the “⚙️ Manage cookies” button at the bottom of every page. Alternatively you can clear the site’s data in your browser settings: the banner will appear again on your next visit.
